I hated the trek from the Central area to the northside via the eery footpassenger tunnel to catch the 81 back to Slough. Times was 'ard in those days, couldn't afford the 6d fare on the 81B or 140!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901968875804634408.post-49228702691885564292010-04-19T21:56:01.007+01:002010-04-19T21:56:01.007+01:00I remember Len Wright from my time at Grey-Green. ...I remember Len Wright from my time at Grey-Green. If I recall rightly he moved on to National Express under John Wilson and spent some time driving their left-hand drive coaches on the 163 to Athens to raise money before starting Len Wright Travel. I believe another ex Grey-Green member, Bill Lear, also worked with him.Daddysgadgetshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12892897553855129226noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901968875804634408.post-83225870115514524922010-04-19T20:37:26.301+01:002010-04-19T20:37:26.301+01:00Guys thanks

But I agree that it was a very rare operating practice in those days.Paul Wheelerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12278432563385957001noreply@blogger.com
